Lily Shapiro Receives Joseph and Yetta Blau Award for Medical Anthropology Research in India

Lily Shapiro, a PhD candidate in anthropology, has received the Spring 2018 Joseph and Yetta Blau Award for Excellence in Research from the Simpson Center for the Humanities. In selecting Shapiro for the $2,000 award, the Simpson Center Executive Board recognizes the ambition of her dissertation, “(Re)Constructing the Body: Factory Accidents and Reconstructive Surgery in South India.”
